UNICUS by Tekbees

Onboarding customers in Colombia? Verify them the way local law requires.

UNICUS verifies identities with 3D facial biometrics and fingerprints against Colombian ID documents, detects deepfakes and altered IDs, and keeps the evidence Colombia’s Law 2573 now demands.

01

Colombia moved the burden of proof to you

Since May 2026, Law 2573 requires lenders, fintechs, telecoms and retailers to take sufficient and reasonable measures to verify identity, and to show the evidence when a customer claims they were impersonated. If you are launching or growing in Colombia, your onboarding has to meet that bar from day one.

How it works

  1. 01

    Guided capture

The user verifies from their phone, a browser or a fingerprint reader at a branch.

  2. 02

    Liveness check

UNICUS confirms a real, present person, not a photo, video, mask or deepfake.

  3. 03

    Matching

It compares the face or fingerprint with the ID document or with the person’s previous record.

  4. 04

    Decision and evidence

Your system receives approved, rejected or review, and UNICUS keeps the record of the verification.

Every verification leaves a record

When a customer says “it wasn’t me”, your team opens the record: liveness result, match against the ID document, date and time, consent and audit trail.

Frequently asked questions

How is UNICUS priced?

By verification volume, with tiered pricing and a monthly minimum. We send you a proposal based on your case.

Where is the data stored?

On AWS, in the Northern Virginia (US) region, encrypted in transit and at rest. Details in our trust center.

How is consent collected?

The flow shows the biometric processing notice and asks for the person’s express authorization before capture, and keeps a record of it.

How long does integration take?

With the verification link there is no development on your side; with the SDK or API it depends on your team.

What if someone cannot complete verification?

The case can go to manual review according to the rules you define.

Can I try it before signing?

Yes: after an initial meeting we offer a pilot with a verification limit and a non-disclosure agreement.
